I hope you had a beautiful weekend. The Taurus new moon was exact Saturday at 4:00 PM. Sit with that for a moment, somewhere beautiful if you can. Surrounding ourselves with beauty is one way to embody Taurus.

While the Sun has been in Taurus these last few weeks, what has been your storyline? If you found yourself more focused on your resources or trying to increase what you have, that's no coincidence. One of the things I've been focused on is my money.

Sky Report, What’s Happening ✨

This is a busy week in the sky.

Tonight, Mars has moved into Taurus, where it will stay for the next five to six weeks. Mars is the planet of action, drive and assertion, and in Taurus, that energy gets directed toward follow-through on what we’ve been focused on. Whatever this new moon seeded for you, symbolically Mars is here to make us work for it. Mars will make us move on the decisions we’ve made about how we want to create more rest, material security and beauty in our lives.

Mars is not at home in Taurus. This is Venus territory. Adam Elenbaas, one of my astrology teachers, described Mars in Taurus like a group of landscapers tearing up the land to create a beautiful garden. The aim is beauty, comfort and stability. But because Mars is Mars, you have to break some ground to get there. Some old habits may need to go. We may have to detach from some of our creature comforts (insert a heavy sigh).

Mercury moved into Gemini yesterday. You may notice things moving quickly this week. More ideas. More internet tabs open. More conversations happening at once. Mercury is at home in Gemini. It thinks fast, does things in twos or more and can have a hard time staying focused because there are always so many new things to learn and connect. What makes things more electric is that Mercury also made contact with Uranus shortly after arriving. Uranus is like a disruptor that shakes loose what's been fixed. It’s also associated with genius. This is great for fast idea generation. It can also be overstimulating to the nervous system, so using the right grounding practices is a helpful way to work with it.

The Sun also moves into Gemini on Wednesday. “Be outside season” (at least where I live) is officially open.

With all of this forward momentum, Mars pushing us to act so that we can create what we want in Taurus, Mercury lighting up our minds, and the new moon still fresh, it would be easy to miss what's also happening tonight.

Venus moves from Gemini into Cancer and will begin aspecting Mars. These two are in supportive conversation. One message I see emphasized is that a desire for emotional and material security may be what pushes many of us to finally move. Another is that our environments will dictate our moods more strongly over the next few weeks.

Please consider making time to slow down. Look around. Admire what's already growing, included your desire for creative change.
