The Capricorn new moon is here. The area in our birth charts where we have Capricorn is where new beginnings are happening for each of us.

For me, this new moon activates my 8th house—a space of shared resources, deep bonds and transformation.

My Capricorn Lessons

One of Capricorn’s lessons is learning to do less . Another is surrendering to the vulnerability of asking for and being open to receiving support. As someone born under a Capricorn sun, I can tell you these have been some of the hardest lessons of my life.

I’ve been exploring what it means to fortify my foundation by practicing stillness and surrendering to help. It’s hard to express just how challenging asking for help can be for me. Maybe you can relate: sometimes I know I need help, but don’t know what to ask for. Other times, saying the words out loud feels so vulnerable.

The 8th house is a tricky place—it demands transformation and reveals truths we often avoid. But this new moon reminds me that asking for help isn’t weakness; it’s a brave act of self-care and growth.

Capricorn’s steadiness is guiding me to approach this gently and practically to:

• Pause and reflect on what I truly need.

• Identify the people or resources I trust to support me.

• Recognize that building strong foundations takes time and requires openness, even when it feels uncomfortable.

Be Still and Take Care of You

Over the last few days, several Capricorns and other wise earthy women have shared the following advice with me.

• Be still and listen. If you are not sure what intention to seed, remember that waiting can be its own form of action. There’s often urgency to plan and goal set, but sometimes the best thing to do is to remain firmly planted, undistracted by the noise. This moon is at its darkest—allow yourself to pause, listen and hear the messages.

• Provide for yourself. Learn to breathe, ground, and stay calm. Taking care of yourself—mind, body, and spirit—is foundational.
