We welcomed the Spring Equinox yesterday, and in the astrology world, that also means the start of a new astrological year. So—Happy New Year!

If you haven’t had a chance to express appreciation or give someone a heartfelt compliment this week, I encourage you to do it. It goes a long way.

I’m writing to you about Venus. On tomorrow (Saturday) night, Venus will meet the Sun in a moment called a cazimi—a reset where Venus receives a new message from within the heart of the Sun.  The Venus cazimi signals the potential for a breakthrough with our desires.  Don’t sleep on it.

This begins a new 8-year Venus cycle connected to what you desire, how you love, what you attract and what you value.  Because cycles show us patterns, you can look back in 8 year increments for a hint of the area of life in which this is coming up for you. The last time Venus was in this position was Spring 2017.

To keep things simple, think of this moment as like a new moon for Venus.

Wherever you have Aries in your chart is where this reset is happening.

❤️ What to Watch For:

A Venus reset is about clarity and new beginnings for Venusian things in our lives. Remember that Venus represents pleasure, what we like, what we attract, how we harmonize and beauty. Venus is typically represented by feminine energy, women, mothers and friends. There is a debate about whether Venus rules money, given the close association with what we value, want and desire. Over the next few weeks, you might notice a pull between what you want and what you don’t want. The pull may also be between you and another. That back-and-forth is part of the process. We are still in retrograde and navigating a lot of change, so let the process be slow. Let it be honest. Lead from your heart. Do not rush on the impulse of Aries. For most of us, we have until at least April 12 when Venus starts to move in direct motion, before we have to make any big decisions.

Continue to pay attention to the people, places, conversations and opportunities showing up. They may be guiding you toward your next Venus chapter and new steps on the path.

🌱 A Few Ways to Work with the Venus Cazimi This Weekend:

✔ Set an intention related to your desires. What do you want more of in your life?

✔ Take a small but meaningful step toward that desire. It doesn’t have to be big.

 – If you want to write a book, open a blank document and write the title.

 – If you want to grow your business, handle one piece of admin for it.

 – If you want to create music, write a lyric or revisit an old track.

✔ Say no to what you do not want and stand on that no. It sends a message that you have left behind old patterns.

✔ Whatever you do, do it with love, especially love for yourself. We cannot expect from others what we do not give to ourselves.
