In September 2015, a solar eclipse in Virgo activated my 4th house of home, family and foundation. This signaled that a major shift was coming. Within six months, I left the law firm where I had worked for nine years and accepted a promotion at a firm that felt like it recognized my worth. I hadn’t applied for the new position. A recruiter called me.

A year later, in September 2016, another Virgo solar eclipse arrived in my 4th house. That time, I expanded my family. Within months of that eclipse, I gave birth to my second child.

That period marked a turning point. I eventually went from working around the clock, trying to please certain people who would never truly see me —to prioritizing myself, my family and my home life. Now, with a supercharged full moon in Virgo, I find myself reflecting on what I have co-created in my Virgo house over the past nine years and what is culminating now.

My heart swells with gratitude. I see the foundation I’ve built, the sense of family I’ve deepened and the inner stability I’ve grown. I also see the struggles, the missteps and the lessons I’ve had to learn about the very real practical responsibilities it takes to embrace to grow a strong sense of self and foundation. I forgive myself for the mistakes and offer myself compassion. Being human is not easy. And we all know that growth is not always linear.
